Description
The ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock, powered by Lenovo's revolutionary OneLink technology transforms your new ThinkPad into a full featured machine in the office or at home. Unlike USB docks the OneLink Pro Dock delivers video with no compression, no drivers and no impact on image quality and notebook performance. Simply connect your notebook into the ThinkPad Pro Dock and get connected to power, Internet and workplace accessories through a convenient single connector. Expect nothing short of outstanding value with an included ThinkPad 90w slim tip AC Adapter, connections for two external displays, a keyboard, a mouse and a printer. The docking station comes equipped with a stereo/microphone combination audio port and 2x USB 3.0 ports on the front panel, one of the USB port is always-power on for mobile device charging. Meanwhile, the rear panel has 2x USB 2.0 ports and 2x USB 3.0 ports, allowing for maximum device connectivity. The pro dock also comes with a 10/1000 Gigabit Ethernet port and a DisplayPort 1.2 for full dual video output with a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600. Picked this dock up a few weeks ago to support a new X carbon purchase. Since that time, I had difficulty with the dock's DVI port. The connector would not make a solid connection no matter what I tried. I purchased a HDMI to display port connector to hook up a think vision monitor and all was solved. So far, so good. It's really nice to be able to disconnect the laptop with one connection and my desk has more space without the base unit that held my X220 previously. My only complaint is the lack of a rear facing audio jack. what was Lenovo thinking? 99% of users WOULD be connecting to a desktop speaker system!

I purchased two x1 carbon(gen2) and two docs less than a year ago. One user rarely disconnects from the dock and when he does he's not reconnecting for many days. He hasn't reported problems.
The other user disconnects every day to use at home. Upon reconnecting there is always a problem. The keyboard wont work, the mouse wont work, the monitor feels like going back to extended mode. I even suspect the doc of burning out the vga port of a monitor that I had to replace. It was an older monitor but the other ports work, I've never seen one port (tried multiple wires) of a monitor burn out.
Today was apparently the last straw. The user (company head) has tasked me to order another or alternative. I fear I'm going to have to buy another one of these, not before researching for an alternative. It was also suggested that i replace the computer if I can't find an alternative, or if I get another one and the problem persists.
2 stars given because it seems to work if its permanent. Seems counter productive as it's not a desktop.

I've have random issues using the 3.0 USB port to run a USB/DVI for my second monitor. Seems to glitch out at least once a day where I have to reboot. Now finally several months later and it's not working what so ever. I can plug this USB/DVI into any other HP laptop without issues so know it's not that or the monitor. Very dissatisfied with Lenovo Docking Solutions.

Constant problems with my monitors. At least once in 2 weeks one of the monitors stops being recognized and restarting, unplugging and pluging cables procedure begins. All of my colleagues in the room have the same stations, and the same problems. And the price is ridiculously high. The firmware update from the official site is simply not working as described!
